Ladies Taking Key Opportunities (Ladies TKO) is a community-driven advocacy organization founded in 2016 by Chef Lizet Angulo-Kimbrew, MBA, to support veterans, military families, and crisis survivors throughout Southern California area. Inspired by the memory of the founder's veteran parents, the organization originally launched as a holiday meal service before rapidly expanding into a full-scale community welfare network. Today, Ladies TKO provides critical localized emergency resources, including clothing distribution, food drives, and donation blankets to homeless individuals and CalVet residential facilities. Beyond localized humanitarian aid, the organization hosts public empowerment campaigns centered on domestic violence, sexual assault, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and Alzheimer’s disease awareness. The non-profit also holds signature public gatherings, most notably their high-volume annual Thanksgiving dinners—which expanded from serving 75 attendees to over 1,500 guests—and the free-admission Annual Veteran Community Gala Awards, which celebrates local veterans and community advocates.
