The Closet: A Dress Recycling Program

Our mission is to ensure that No Adult, Young Adult, Teen or Child goes without a Perfect, Beautiful Dress for their special occasion; free from financial worry. We believe that a dress is more than just some piece of fabric thrown into the back of a closet, only to be used 1 time for 1 occasion. Yes, its a moment of confidence but it is also a way to help multiple clients not only look beautiful but truly shine inside and out for multiple special occasions! Through proactive recycling, upcycling, and sustainable practices, we extend the life of every gown to it fullest potential while reducing textile waste and care for both our Clients and the Environment!
Each gown is carefully sorted, cleaned, & stored by various categories such as Sizes, Style, Genre, etc. We proudly serve all sizes, ensuring inclusivity for everybody type and offer attire for a wide variety of special events & occasions. Our commitment goes beyond just lending-out dresses; once a dress reaches it maximum wearable life, it is thoughtfully deconstructed and its materials are upcycled to repair, restore, or create other gowns. Continuing the cycle of sustainability. By lending dresses to their fullest potential we prevent them from sitting unused in closets and instead allow them to be part of treasured core moments. We hope that at The Closet, our client feel as though they are cared for like family and that every gown is treated like a cherished family heirloom being past along the create the next treasured moments.
