Services include priority registration\, guidance on VA education benefits\, and step-by-step checklists for new and continuing students. The VRC offers veteran-focused academic counseling and a VRC Student Education Plan\, plus certification forms\, progress rules\, and help if called to active duty (refunds and Military Withdrawal). It connects students with DAV claims assistance\, county VA offices\, CalFresh\, scholarships\, jobs\, and the Veterans Club. \nThis month’s Cafecito is also special for one more reason! Williams\, Owner\, TransFormNation Training & Development\, LLC. \n\n\n\nDr. Kenisha L. Williams dedicated 22 years to public education. Her journey began in 2000 as a kindergarten teacher in Barstow Unified School District. Afterward\, she moved to Okinawa\, Japan\, teaching 1st grade with the Department of Defense Schools. Upon returning to the States\, Dr. Kenisha taught 4th and 5th grades before advancing to Assistant Principal and eventually serving as Principal at the same school for 13 years. In her final educational role\, she acted as Principal on Assignment as the Self-Leadership\, Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion (S.D.E.I.) Leader for her district.\nDr. Kenisha deeply believes in serving students\, staff\, and the community. She authored the children’s book series Better Together\, which promotes self-discovery\, peer appreciation\, and teamwork. \nRetiring from education in 2022\, Dr. Kenisha heads her company\, TransFormNation Training & Development\, LLC. She travels nationwide\, speaking\, training\, and coaching on effective leadership using a process of self-discovery that allows leaders to lean into their most authentic selves and other topics. Her academic achievements include multiple degrees: a bachelor’s in Speech Communications (1999)\, a master’s in Education (2002)\, a second bachelor’s in Ministry (2007\, Valedictorian)\, a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership (2014)\, and a second Doctorate in Ministry (2020\, 4.0 GPA). \nIn 2020\, Dr. Kenisha played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Leadership course at the Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce amid the pandemic\, continuing her involvement every year since. She joined the Chamber’s Board of Directors in 2022. \nAs a member of Dr. John Maxwell’s International coaching team of over 51\,000 coaches in 165 countries\, she has shared stages with Dr. Maxwell and received the Leadership Torch to carry forward his legacy. Dr. Kenisha also serves on the teaching team as a Peer Teaching Partner and has facilitated Transformational Values Roundtables in Papua New Guinea. \nRecognized for her inspirational leadership\, she received spirit awards from Victor Elementary School District and the Dr. John C. Maxwell Culture DNA Award. Notably\, Dr. Kenisha was the Commencement Speaker at Victor Valley College in 2023\, addressing thousands. \nDr. Kenisha’s life passion is to inspire transformation through impartation\, illumination\, revelation\, and re-evaluation. She loves people and wants to leave joy everywhere she goes!

Her presentation is titled: Beyond Medicine: The Heart of Hospice Services. \nSt. Martin High Desert is a new hospice organization founded in 2020 in the Mojave Desert. One of their major focuses is serving the community around them\, including many cities in towns in the High Desert\, including: Victorville\, Adelanto\, Apple Valley\, Hesperia\, and Barstow!  \nWith over ten years of collective experience\, their interdisciplinary team is here to serve you and your family during your end-of-life transitioning stage. their focus is on quality care and they’re committed to serving your needs.
